How much are you willing to talk about your misgivings about your candidate? I'll start. I support Jackson. I'm worried about the idea of a privatized fire station. I'm willing to listen to the idea, but I'm not pre-disposed to agree with it. Anyone on the Gambardella side willing to own up to their misgivings?

OK by me if contractors in Town get a slight extra allowance on bids, but a blanket intent to reserve all contracts for locals leaves Hamden taxpayers up the creek without a paddle, open to really wasteful spending or graft. Gambardella may mean just a reasonable prejudice toward local contractors, but his flyers do not say so.

I believe running a a Republican in a town that is 80% Democrat is a recipe for disaster. A registered Democrat is much more likely to cross lines to vote for an Independent rather than a Republican.
